As a former-journalist-turned-novelist, I’ve always had aspirations of becoming a successful writer. It’s my belief that every writer has a book tucked somewhere inside of them. I know I always have. My dream to become a published author came true in 2014 with the two-book series, Seams and Unraveled. Since, I have written and published 16 additional novels including – Timing, Heartless, Lockdown, Imperfections, Missing You, Forever Linked, Mirror Image, and Given the Chance, Reckless, Trinity, The One You’re Waiting On, Change of Heart, Begin Again, Obligated, From the Edge, and If Things Were Different.
I live in the Midwest in the small town of Trenton, Illinois, with my husband and two children. I began my writing career as a young mother, and I’ve never looked back. Getting to that point, however, took time. After I spent six years working as a newspaper reporter, I made the decision to become a stay-at-home mom when my two children were born. I especially knew that decision was the right one for me after my son was born and was faced with challenges that consequently led to an Autism diagnosis.
I had a child with special needs, and that reality changed my life. Writing became my outlet, my saving grace. Everyone has struggles in life, and I’ve chosen to learn and grow and become inspired by the hand I have been dealt.
It is my sincerest hope for my readers to find their connection to the stories I write. Those who know me personally and those who have read my books, must realize by now that I believe challenges, hurt, and heartache can all be overcome. Eventually. It’s just a matter of putting one foot in front of the other, one day at a time.
It’s been almost 20 years since I married the love of my life. My husband, Mike and I share two beautiful children, Bailey and Connor. Together, we enjoy being active outdoors for sporting events, swimming, biking, and picnicking. I also absolutely love being at my computer, sinking deep into my imagination to write the stories I am eager to share with all of you!
Thank you from the very bottom of my heart for reading!
